Admission process

St. Joseph’s University Bangalore admissions are based on entrance examination results or academic merit, depending on the programme. Candidates can apply online for their preferred course by following the admission process outlined below.

Step 1: St. Joseph’s University Bangalore Application Process 2026

Candidates must complete the online application form through the university’s official website. The application fee is INR 1,000 for undergraduate programmes and INR 1,200 for postgraduate and PG diploma programmes.

To apply online:

  1. Visit the official website of St. Joseph’s University Bangalore.
  2. Open the application link and register using your basic details.
  3. Check your registered email address for login credentials.
  4. Log in and complete the application form with the required information.
  5. Pay the application fee and submit the form.

Step 2: Entrance Examination and Selection

The university reviews applications to verify whether candidates meet the eligibility requirements. Admission to the following programmes involves the St. Joseph’s University Entrance Test (SJUET):

  • BBA in Strategic Finance
  • BA in Optional English, Journalism and Psychology

For other programmes, selection is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Shortlisted candidates are invited to attend an interview conducted by the university. Certain programmes may also require a portfolio assessment as part of the final selection process.

Step 3: Admission Confirmation and Fee Payment

Candidates receive updates about their admission status through email. Those shortlisted for an interview must upload the required documents to the admission portal before attending.

Original documents must also be submitted to the university’s admission office. Selected candidates must pay the applicable programme fees to confirm their seats.

Documents Required for Admission

Candidates must submit the following documents:

  • Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12 certificates and marksheets
  • Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate, except for Karnataka State Board applicants
  • Two passport-size photographs and one stamp-size photograph, taken in formal attire against a white background
  • Two photocopies of the online payment receipt
  • Valid identity proof, such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Voter ID Card

St. Joseph’s University Fee Refund Policy

Candidates who cancel or withdraw their admission can submit a refund request along with the original fee receipt and the original acknowledgement issued by the university.

The refund amount depends on when the application is submitted, as outlined below:
