Overview

RV University (RVU) is a state private university in Karnataka, established under the guidance of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across various disciplines.

Scholarships: RVU offers school-specific scholarships based on Class 12 marks, with award slabs beginning at 80%. For 2026–27, the university has allocated INR 6.55 crore for merit and sports scholarships covering 691 students. The stated allocation also includes INR 38.75 lakh in merit scholarships for 55 students. Eligible students with strong CUET scores may receive an additional INR 50,000 scholarship.
Placements: More than 264 companies participated in campus placements. The highest package was INR 43.5 LPA, while the median package stood at INR 8 LPA. Recruiters included Amazon, Deloitte, Titan, Goldman Sachs, Capgemini, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, IBM, KPMG, EY, PwC, Bosch, Siemens, Sony, Mu Sigma, Decathlon and Tata Steel.
Infrastructure: The Bangalore campus spans 9.18 acres and provides hostels, a food court, sports facilities, a health centre, transport, a library, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms and an auditorium. The university has also started a campus in Nanjangud, Mysore.
International Collaboration: RVU has signed an MoU with Suleyman Demirel University, Türkiye, to support joint research, educational initiatives and global learning opportunities.
Ranking: The university ranked 2nd in the Emerging State Private University category in Outlook 2025.
