Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology Admission Process 2025
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (SIR MVIT) offers admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes through entrance examinations as well as the management admission route for eligible candidates. The institute offers programmes in areas such as Engineering and Technology, Management, and Computer Applications.
The application process is conducted online. Candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility requirements and qualify through the relevant entrance examination or selection process to secure admission.
SIR MVIT Admission 2025: Eligibility and Selection Criteria
SIR MVIT offers B.E./B.Tech at the undergraduate level and postgraduate programmes such as M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. The duration of most UG programmes is four years, while PG programmes generally span two years. The institute also offers Integrated PhD and PhD programmes in full-time and part-time modes.

Important Notes:
- Around 25% of the total B.E./B.Tech intake is filled through the management quota.
- For MCA admission through the management quota, candidates are required to appear for KMAT or another examination recognised by the Government of Karnataka/VTU.
SIR MVIT Admission Process 2025
The admission process generally involves the following steps:
Step 1: Online Application
Candidates seeking admission to UG, PG, or doctoral programmes need to complete the application process through the institute's prescribed online mode. Applicants should provide the required academic and personal details along with the necessary documents.
Step 2: Entrance Exam and Selection
Candidates are shortlisted based on the eligibility requirements and relevant entrance examination scores. Depending on the programme, SIR MVIT accepts scores from examinations such as KCET, COMEDK, GATE, PGCET, KMAT, and CMAT.
Shortlisted candidates may also have to participate in further selection rounds, such as a personal interview, wherever applicable.
Step 3: Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation
Candidates who are selected for admission need to pay the applicable course fee within the specified time to confirm their seat at SIR MVIT. Admission is considered complete after the required documents are verified and the prescribed fee is paid.
