Admission process
RV University (RVU) offers admission based on academic merit, entrance examination scores and programme-specific selection rounds. Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of their chosen course before applying.
Course-Wise Eligibility Criteria

| MDes | A bachelor’s degree of at least four years in Design, Engineering, Architecture or Interior Design; or BFA, BVA or GD Arts with one year of experience |
| MBA | A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university |
| MA | A bachelor’s degree in any discipline |
| MTech | Graduation with at least 55% aggregate |
| PhD | A postgraduate degree with at least 55% aggregate |
Application Process
RV University accepts applications through online or offline modes. To apply online, candidates can follow these steps:
- Visit the university’s official website.
- Click Apply Now and register.
- Log in and complete the application form.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
- Submit the completed form.
Selection Process
The selection process varies by programme. Admission may be based on marks in the qualifying examination, RVSAT, other accepted entrance examinations, interviews or portfolio assessments.

Merit List and Admission Confirmation
The university publishes a merit list of selected candidates. Shortlisted applicants must complete document verification and pay the prescribed fees to confirm their admission.
Documents Required
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
- Bachelor’s degree certificate and mark sheets, where applicable
- Master’s degree certificate and mark sheets, where applicable
- Original Transfer and Migration Certificates
- Entrance examination scorecard, where applicable
- Two recent colour passport-size photographs
- Aadhaar card or other identity proof
- Any additional documents required under applicable admission guidelines
