Admission process
National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences also known as NIMHANS Bangalore follows an entrance-based admission process. NIMHANS Application Process 2026
The application form can be collected through the official site. The NIMHANS Bangalore application process is easy to understand and complete. Students must complete the process before the last date. The process is as given below:
- Go to the official site at nimhans.ac.in.
- Register as a new user and enter your basic details.
- Get the email verified.
- Complete the form.
- Pay INR 1500 and submit the form. For reserved category, application fees is INR 1000.

Selection Process
The selection process at NIMHANS Bangalore is contingent upon valid results of entrance examinations, which vary according to individual courses. NIMHANS holds its own entrance examination for different UG, PG, Medical, and Non-Medical courses. Nonetheless, admission to some selected PG and super specialty courses of medical education is through the INI-CET examination that holds national level significance. In case of Ph.D programs, successful candidates need to pass an interview (PI) too.

Selected students need to report for verification of documents and pay the NIMHANS fees to complete the process.

The institute has limited seats. The intake depends on the programme and specialisation. MSc has the highest intake of 45 seats. Students need to complete the admission process to get a seat in the college. The intake is as below:
