Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences Admission Process
Admission to MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) involves an application, entrance-based selection, seat allocation and document verification. The process differs depending on whether candidates apply through counselling or the University quota.
Step 1: Application Process
Candidates applying through KCET, COMEDK or PGCET must take the examination relevant to their chosen programme. They must then register for the applicable counselling process and select RUAS during choice filling.
For University quota admissions, candidates must follow these steps:
- Visit the university’s official website.
- Click Apply Now.
- Register and create login credentials.
- Log in and complete the application form.
- Pay the application fee of INR 2,000 and submit the form.
Step 2: Selection and Seat Allocation
Candidates who meet the required cutoff are allotted seats through the respective counselling rounds. After receiving an allotment, they must pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the university as instructed.
For University quota admissions, selection is based on performance in the RUAS Admission Test (RUAS-AT), where applicable. Candidates with valid scores in accepted examinations such as KCET, COMEDK, JEE Main, CLAT, CAT or CUET may be exempt from RUAS-AT, depending on the programme. They must still complete the university’s application process.
Step 3: Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates receive a provisional admission offer based on their entrance examination performance and, for certain programmes, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD-PI) results.
To confirm admission, candidates must submit the required documents and pay the prescribed fees before the deadline stated in the provisional offer. The university issues a final admission offer after successful document verification.
