Admission process
M.S. Ramaiah Medical College Admission Process
M.S. Ramaiah Medical College admission is generally based on candidates’ performance in the relevant entrance examination. The application process is conducted online. Candidates seeking admission must complete the following steps:
Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination
Candidates must register for the entrance examination applicable to their preferred programme. They must appear for the examination on the scheduled date and wait for the results to be announced.
Step 2: Check the Result and Cutoff
The entrance examination result indicates a candidate’s performance through marks, percentile and rank. Candidates must obtain a score equal to or higher than the prescribed NEET cutoff to become eligible for the subsequent admission rounds.
Step 3: Register for Counselling
After the results are announced, qualified candidates must complete the online counselling registration. While filling out the counselling form, applicants must select their preferred colleges and courses in the desired order.
Step 4: Participate in Counselling
Seat allotment for the MBBS, MD and MS programmes is conducted through merit-based counselling by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), based on candidates’ NEET UG or NEET PG ranks.
For the DM and MCh programmes, seats are allotted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) based on candidates’ NEET SS ranks.
Candidates who receive a seat must complete document verification, pay the applicable admission fee and report to the college within the prescribed deadline to confirm their admission.
