Overview

LLB course serves as the first professional qualification for candidates drawn to the legal field. It prepares students for careers in law practice, legal advisory, compliance, research, drafting, etc. LLB means Legum Baccalaureus (in Latin) – also commonly known as Bachelor of Legislative Law. LLB course duration is usually 5 years if you pursue an integrated program directly after Class 12 but 3 years if you already hold a graduation degree.

LLB course graduates can aspire for profiles like Lawyers, attorneys, judicial officers, legal advisors, in-house counsels, public prosecutors, contract managers, etc., with an earning potential from INR 2 LPA to INR 18 LPA. 

Some good colleges for LLB courses are National Law School of India University, Symbiosis Law School, GNLU Gandhinagar, etc. LLB degree fees for government colleges can be around INR 1,080 to INR 8.8 Lakh, and for private colleges it can be from INR 4,090 to INR 18.75 Lakh.
